As many of you know plans are underway to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of Mt. Pisgah Lutheran Church in 2009.  It was on August 21, 1859 that Abraham Bolick gave one acre of land where the old Pisgah cemetery now stands for the use of "all Christian professions and Believers in Christ  and also for school service."  Out of that humble beginning, prior to the Civil War, has come our beloved congregation.

The 150th anniversary committee is seeking material related to history of our congregation.  If you have any old church directories, annual reports, copies of church constitutions, other documents, letters, photos, or other memorabilia that you would consider loaning or giving to the archives of the congregation, we would like to know about them.  Please contact either, Bill Oelkers, Laurie Wegner, or Janice Simmons if you can help in this way.  We plan to use the material to compile an updated and expanded history of the congregation and subsequently to begin to maintain a permanent  congregational history archive.  Thanks.
